Are your pieces dishwasher & microwave safe?

Yes, my pieces are both dishwasher and microwave safe!

However, in order to preserve and prolong the life of your pieces, I would highly recommend handwashing & keeping microwave exposure to a minimum whenever possible.

Will I receive the exact product in the listing photos?

Please note that each listing is a general listing for the item - yes, the listing photos you see are of the products I make, of course! So you will receive the item you ordered, but it may not be that specific item modeled in the photograph.

For example: if I have 10 ring dishes available, they will all be under the same listing and the quantity option will go up to 10 - I will not be photographing and listing each one separately.

Since each item is handmade, will they differ at all?

Small variations are to be expected!

Each item at Scimio Ceramics is handcrafted one at a time by Nicole Scimio; because of this, slight variations regarding color, size, and shape in each piece are to be expected.

While small variances will occur due to the nature of any handmade product, please rest assured that I would never send out an item that did not meet my extremely high standard of quality. The item you receive will look as it’s expected to, I promise!

These small variances are part of what makes each piece unique, one of a kind, and truly irreplaceable - thank you for your understanding and support!

What if my order arrives broken?

I am so sorry to hear that! I do my best to package each order as carefully as possible, but once they leave my care, I just have to pray that the delivery service holds up their end of the deal!

Please email me at nicole@scimioceramics.com within 3 days of receiving your broken order and I would be happy to send you a replacement. Please note that replacement time can vary - if I do not have the piece(s) you ordered completed and on hand, I will need 6-8 weeks to work on a replacement.

While I try to work as fast as I can, pottery is not currently my full-time job, and all of my pieces are fired at a local studio! I truly appreciate this service, but also have little to no control over when my pieces are fired after I bring them in.

Thank you for your understanding!

Do you do commissions / custom orders?

At this time, I am not accepting commissions or custom orders for a number of limiting factors including time, lack of control over firing pieces, scheduling, etc.

This may change in the future, but as for right now, what is listed is what I am currently offering!
